(AKC Judge Richard Eichhorn, Myself and Ch. Heartfire SprngFlng @ Lyonsbrook DNA-CP,
April is the first dog I handled to a Championship!)
Hi I'm Lynn,
And I have had Australian Shepherds since I was three years old.

My first Aussie was a Pound Puppy that we originally met at the Rosamond airstrip, obviously someone had
dumped him and the owner of the field let him stay. That is until he started chasing and soon catching the
airplanes, so for "Patches" own good he took him to the pound and that is where my Mom rescued him. He Lived
with us for eleven more years and in that time we had all kinds of adventures ~ Like the time he got out and a
neighbor had left a roast on her counter to thaw. Patchy discovered that her home was equipt with a doggy door
and all he had to do was jump her six foot back fence and the roast was his, then he decided to take a look
around and when she got home he was looking out her front window at her. She freaked, called the Sheriff,
screaming that a Wolf was in her house. Luckily for Patch we lived in a small town and my Uncle is one of the
towns Officers. So when my Uncle responded to her call about a wolf in her house he found a very happy blue
eyed Patch sitting on the ladies couch.

Another time the Father of a kid we rode the bus with came pounding on our front door demanding that we put
that vicious dog down, he bit the guy's son. "Of course we'll put him down if he bit your son", my Mom said, "but
may I speak to your son first?"" Well, sure you can, but I don't see how it will help!" He said. His son came to the
door and sure enough his hand had a small mark on it. So Mom asked " How did it happen?" (cause Patch loved
kids and this just didn't sound like something he would do) And the little boy proceeded to say that Patch had
stolen his sandwich the two days before, and that he had gotten very hungry those days without a sandwich! So
that morning when he saw Patch steeling his sandwich for the third time, he reached in to rescue it out of Patches
mouth ~ mid chomp - no less! Needless to say we didn't have to put our beloved Patchy down and the guy went
away a little red faced.
Patch went on to be the best friend two kids could ever have. He finally passed away in his sleep when I was 13,
after many, many more wonderful adventures.

My next Aussie I acquired by accident. My Mom and I went to look at a western pleasure horse at a friend of
Mom's and the prettiest little blue merle girl kept wanting me to play ball with her, so I spent the next hour and a
half playing ball and loving on her and when we went to leave Mom's friend commented that she had never seen
Celeste take to anyone as well as she had me and did I want her? Well, as you could imagine I said "yes!" and
that is how Lady Celeste of the Grove became my best friend for about 5 years. She was the sweetest good
hearted girl I have ever known.

In 1990 I took home my first "SHOW" dog, a bouncy, head strong, beautiful blue merle girl I bought from Sherry
Scott at Spring Fever Australian Shepherds. Dusty - "Spring Fever's Dusted SugarPlum" - had my heart from the
minute our eyes met. I will never say she was a easy dog, but I think she was the dog I learned the most from.
When we left Utah in 1992 we had earned the ASC of Utah's year end Versatility award, placing first in our class in
stock, obedience and eighth in conformation. To say that I was hooked on showing was an understatement.

In 1994 I contacted my friend Cherry Cannon of Stoneridge Australian Shepherds about breeding Dusty to one of
her beautiful red tri boys Mighty Sly of Stoneridge, out of that litter I kept a spunkie red bi female that is the Mother
of many of
Lyonsbrook's Stars and two points from earning her HOF title - "Toasty" - A Toast to Lyonsbrook, then
a year and a half latter, due to circumstances I can only thank God for, one of the outstanding red tri boy was
given back to me to re-home and I fell in love, there was no way he was going any where, he is the first dog I ever
won points on, the Father of my first Bred by Champion, and the first dog my daughter ever showed in Junior
handling - Lyonsbrook's Class Act. "Beamer" or as my Mom calls him "The Luck Dragon", was a kind spirit and a
gentle friend, and I miss him every day.

In 1995 my daughter Jillian was born. She has become the joy of my life and I truly believe that the lessens I
learned with my dogs has made it easier to raise a strong, beautiful young lady, It is amazing how well "Leave it"
and "That'll Do!" works with kids too. LOL

In 2001 I met Scott, and New Year's Eve of 2005 we got married. He believes dog shows are slightly more
interesting than watching paint dry, and he does not see the humor in "dog hair as a condiment", but he would
move Heaven and Earth to make sure that I have everything possible to go showing.

Although my health has not been as stable as I would like, it
has been manageable for the past six years, I can call my
family anytime just to talk, I have my wonderful husband and of
course, my beautiful dogs.
I am truly blessed!

Well, look at that. We all have made it to 2011!
I don't quit think it all has been worst for the ware, but we are here!!!!!!
My wonderful daughter no longer lives with me, I pray she is doing well. My Mom is ok, last I talked with her. So I guess that since I
started keeping track with you all is as good as it can be. I hope you find yourself in a good way,
God bless and keep you.
